2023 Award Nominations

Collingsworth County Chamber Of Commerce is sponsoring our Chamber Banquet on Saturday, October 14, at 6:30 in the evening at the Bura Handley Community Building Auditorium. We hope that you will plan to be there to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our businesses and citizens in our county.

    Make your nominations in the blanks below and press submit.  Nominations for these awards will be open from September 6 - October 1. Paper nomination forms can be picked up at the Museum or at the Sun Office. 

    Business of the Year: This award honors a business in Collingsworth County that has a distinguished reputation of providing outstanding customer service and reveals great business practices of integrity. ​Business must be a member of the Chamber and their business is located in Collingsworth County.
    ​Employee of the Year: This award recognizes an employee who goes beyond the normal realm of impressive customer service and hard work, showing a friendly attitude and an unwavering work ethic. (Must work in a Collingsworth County business.)
    ​Volunteer of the Year: This special person shows dedication and heart by volunteering their time, energy and resources to help individual people and groups of people to improve lives and situations. (Must be a Collingsworth County resident.)
    ​Educator of the Year: This Wellington ISD teacher or administrator has been an educator for at least five years and has revealed exemplary practices that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to preparing students for success in college, trades and in life. 
    ​Farmer of the Year: This award is given to the Collingsworth County farmer who has been engaged in the farming industry for at least ten years. The Farmer of the Year award goes to a farmer who maintains and exemplifies outstanding farming practices and shows proven results of those practices. 
    ​Community Service Award: This award is given to a service organization in Collingsworth County that has consistently demonstrated qualities of compassion and service to individuals or groups of people, showing a sincere love for helping others.
    ​Man of the Year: This award recognizes an outstanding man who has lived in Collingsworth County for at least two years and has demonstrated amazing community involvement, generosity and an overall positive impact on Wellington.
    ​Woman of the Year: This award recognizes an outstanding woman who has lived in Collingsworth County for at least two years and has demonstrated amazing community involvement, generosity and an overall positive impact on Wellington.
